Bridging the gap between political promises and public priorities
Every election season, Ghanaians are presented with manifestos packed with bold promises, but how many of those promises truly reflect what matters to the people?
ACEYE's 2024 Public Policy Value Rating is an independent, citizen-driven framework designed to evaluate the practical relevance and public alignment of political party manifestos ahead of Ghana's general elections. Using a structured survey of 500 eligible voters across the Greater Accra region, we assessed the manifesto policies of Ghana's two major parties the NDC and NPP across five key sectors: Economy and Finance, Digitalization and ICT, Entrepreneurship and Employment, Infrastructure Development, and Health and Education.
Our goal is simple: move Ghana from an anticipatory democracy to a participatory democracy, where citizens don't just wait for promises to be kept, but actively shape the agenda.
